Finding Stillness
Finding Your Stillness: The Story Behind Soft Echo Studio
Welcome to my corner of the internet. If you’ve ever felt like the world was spinning just a little too fast, or if you’ve spent your life looking for a "quiet" button that actually works, you’re in the right place.
Everything is hand made from South Africa. I share my daily life of stillness with my travel around South Africa's breathtaking landscape. The land of my birth.
I’m Hannah Rorke and this is Soft Echo Studio.
From Regulation to Recreation
Soft Echo Studio didn't start as a business plan; it started as a survival tool. As someone who is Neurodivergent, I’ve often found the sensory input of daily life to be overwhelming. For a long time, I searched for ways to self-regulate and find my footing in a world that felt too loud.
I started doodling—not to make "Art" with a capital A, but simply to take the pressure away. There was something about the rhythmic motion of a pen that hushed the noise in my head. Eventually, those tiny, repetitive marks began to look like trees. Those trees grew into landscapes, and those landscapes became my escape.
This is a rebrand from the original Wisebohochic. It is an intentionally curated lifestyle brand. It is Soft Echo Studio: Find your stillness.
The Ideology: Nature, Zen, and Creativity
Through this process, I discovered my own personal triad of peace: Nature, Zen, and Creativity.
I realized that if these things could help me find my own stillness, perhaps they could help others, too. Soft Echo Studio evolved into a curated lifestyle brand where I combine the grounding earthiness of handmade ceramics with the ethereal, fluid peace of dreamlike watercolors.
Every piece I create is an invitation to slow down. When you hold one of my mugs or look at a painted horizon, I want you to feel that "Soft Echo" of nature’s quiet.
Creating a Safe Space (In Person and Online)
On this blog, I’ll be sharing more than just my latest creations. I want to pass on what I’ve learned about building a curated, safe lifestyle. You can expect:
- Daily Stillness Tips: Small ways to integrate mindfulness and nature into your routine.
- Creative Behind-the-Scenes: The neuro-affirming ways I approach my studio practice.

The Big Dream: My journey toward opening a physical studio—a dedicated haven designed to welcome those on the spectrum and anyone else searching for a sensory-friendly space to create. One that is quiet, filled with nature and comfortable places to relax and unwind.
